For calling it that years ago?
I love that area, our dentist is there and one of the kids gets her glasses there...no place else has the cool brands according to her :)

For saying the sight made him sick.

Do you understand the difference?

He said it with disdain and the current naming is with pride.
Do I win a cookie?
That you asked me that question is very odd, did you think I was upset that he got in trouble or are you just looking for an argument as usual?

Please explain what went through your head when you read my post. I am a secret Vietnamese hating lady putting coded messages out there to show my feelings?
There is something wrong with you.
The term Little Saigon made me think of that politician years ago who got in deep doo doo for saying it so I commented on it..wow.
This is the second time in a week you have commented on my comments trying to start trouble, I'm done with you and will not comment on anymore of your shitposting after this. Have a great day. Hugs.

The entirety of my comment, which apparently precipitated your state of high dudgeon:

Yes

For saying the sight made him sick.

Do you understand the difference?

As in, this situation is clearly, obviously different than that situation. You remembered the incident, vaguely, and remembered that a politician "got in deep doo doo" over referring to a neighborhood as "like Saigon". I pointed out the difference between the two situations. That's "trying to start trouble"?

OK then. Bye.

You were not just pointing it out that the situations were different, the " do you understand the difference?" Is proof of that.
I said he got in trouble for it which means I obviously understand the difference, unless you think.im so stupid as to think people today call it little Saigon for the same reason Dapper got in trouble for it. You were looking for an argument or are just trolling for kicks...I'm not sure which. Have a nice weekend. .

If the Vietnamese people of the area are good with it then so am I. I’ve been close to generations of Vietnamese people and even learning some of the language (my mother can pretty much speak it fluently). Who remembers when they’d be like 20-30 deep in front of Tedeschi’s in the morning ? Man, good ol Fields Corner Times
