Man charged with attempt to drag a woman into an alley near Tufts Medical Center

Boston Police report arresting Dante Wentz, 23, on charges he tried to kidnap a woman by dragging her into an alley off Washington Street at Tufts Medical Center early Thursday morning.

Police say they found Wentz at the Ink Block complex, 300 Harrison Ave., about a half mile from the scene, around 6:40 p.m. today and arrested him on charges of kidnapping and assault and battery.

Police say Wentz grabbed his intended victim from behind, put his hand over her mouth and tried to drag her off Washington Street, but that she screamed and managed to break free.
