Mattapan man charged with Hyde Park murder last November

Boston Police report arresting Marquees Scott, 22, on charges he gunned down Bolivar Soto, of Jamaica Plain, in a robbery on Church Street in Hyde Park on Nov. 16.

Scott was arrested this morning on Rockway Street at Regis Road in Mattapan, police say. In addition to murder, he was also charged with armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm, police say.

Soto's murder came less than a month before, and around the corner from another armed robbery turned murder, in what until then had been a quiet section of Hyde Park.
