Two-alarm fire on Shepton Street in Dorchester displaces six

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 61 Shepton St. in Dorchester for what turned into a two-alarm fire around 11;15 p.m. on Monday.

Three adults and three children were displaced; there were no injuries, the department reports.

The fire, which started on the first floor and rose to the third, caused an estimated $275,000 in damage, the department says.
