Rain forces cancellation of arts performances on Rowes Wharf on Monday
Organizers of the first Greater Boston Arts Expo - with live performances by "organizations across the region, with a focus on uplifting work by historically excluded populations including BIPOC, trans, and disabled communities" - have cancelled the event because of tomorrow's anticipated storms.
With the forecast of a drizzly day followed by a stormy evening on Monday - and after consultation with the National Weather Service of Boston and our producing partners -- StageSource and ArtsBoston have made the difficult decision to cancel Monday evening's event. We are investigating the possibility of moving the Expo to another date and a decision on that will be made soon.

I didn't expect this
When I emailed StageSource this morning to ask if the event would be moved or postponed due to rain, Jen Lewis replied, "The event will take place rain or shine. The stage is covered and there are many tents around. Unfortunately, a rain date is not possible."
