Two Boston cops charged with attacking family members in separate incidents
Boston Police report two of its own were arrested on domestic assault-and-battery charges early Saturday - one in Boston, one in Danvers.
Andrew Blake, on the force since 1998, was arrested around 3:55 a.m. by the BPD domestic-violence unit "after being involved in a domestic incident with a family member," police say.
Walter Suprey, an officer since 2008, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. in Danvers on charges he physically attacked a family member, police say.
Police did not provide further details. The Salem News reports on Suprey's arraignment, at which he was charged with allegedly attacked his fiancee after she was late getting back from a Celtics game and accused her of cheating on him.
Both were put on administrative leave and now face internal-affairs investigations in addition to the criminal charges, police say.
