Brookline High School student sexually attacked while walking on street between classes, police say

A student was "inappropriately touched by an unidentified man" as she walked between Brookline High School buildings on Tappan Street around 1 p.m., Brookline Police and school officials report.

School officials say they will boost monitoring of students moving between classes, while Brookline Police look to identify and find the suspect, officials say.

Brookline.News reports the man put his hand down the student's pants.

Students were asked to be vigilant, School Superintendent Linus Guillory said:

While BHS is a safe campus, our high school complex consists of multiple buildings and students move about on public streets. Students, staff and all community members are urged to remain aware of their surroundings at all times and report any suspicious activity to any school staff member.
