Brookline Police report officers journeyed into Roslindale yesterday to arrest a man they say went around their town protesting the Musk administration by putting anti-Elon stickers on at least six Teslas on Sunday.
Harrison Grant Randall, 39, was charged with six counts of defacing property for the sieg-heiling Musk images he put on windshields, police say, adding a Brookline District Court judge this morning reduced the $2,500 bail they had set to $400. He is due back in court on May 7, police say.
After putting up a Facebook post Tuesday seeking help capturing the sticker scoundrel - who told one owner he had a free-speech right to place a sticker on his car - police say:
One particular Instagram follower called us and reported seeing this very person on Chestnut Hill Ave. Our officers responded and were able to stop and identify the man.
Detectives then collected enough evidence for an arrest warrant, and picked Randall up in Roslindale around 7 p.m. yesterday, police say.
His arrest came a couple days after somebody set a bank of Telsa chargers on fire in Littleton.
Innocent, etc.

It's not acceptable

It's not acceptable to paste stickers on people's cars or homes... period. It defaces the property and is in fact a crime. It is defined as vandalism.
I think one of the witnesses to the event said it best on the news. I believe it was the car owner. The point to be made was that he thought it was OK to do this and it was part of his free speech rights. Bullshit. What's wrong with these people and that thought process?
On review, this is where our entire society has fallen on both the right and left. They all think their actions are OK for some reason. The innocent become collateral damage.
Dumb.

Brookline police in Roslindale?

Brooline police can arrest outside their jurisdiction? Didn't know that.
Are the Brookline police putting sufficient energy into protecting pedestrians from drivers? If they are not then this is favoring owners of a certain brand of car over the health, safety and lives of pedestrians.
If I had the stones I would gladly have stood in front of Brooline police who are in a city that is not theirs and tell them to refocus the blueshirt attention to the neo-fascist who looks to the good ole days of brown shirts and black shirts and hopes to use blue shirts to do the harrasment and thuggery that fElon doesn't have the balls to do (of anything of any worth).

Massachusetts doesn't have a statute expressly prohibiting law enforcement enforcing laws in other jurisdictions, though in practice, it's expected that out of courtesy they refrain from things like enforcing minor traffic offenses, while they can face harsh discipline for failing to intervene if they observe something heinous in progress.
This sounds like they were seeking out someone on a warrant though, which is normal and permissible, though typically isn't done for unless quite a bit more risk is posed to the public than putting stickers on windshields.
What are and aren't First Amendment rights

That this nut trying to claim that it's his "free speech right" to vandalize somebody's car is the saddest part. Imagine twisting one's First Amendment rights in such an insidious way. In a civilized society your personal freedoms end where mine begin. In other words, it is not your free speech right to walk up and slap somebody you don't like in the face. Same with that person's personal property, whatever it might represent to you.
Another thing that isn't a right

We need him to be pardoned, i mean if storming the capital and killing cops isn't a crime, then this is nothing!
