Roof fire at Harvard Business School

A generator in the basement of McCulloch Hall, 44 Harvard Way, sent hot gases up to the roof, causing insulation to catch on fire, the Boston Fire Department reports. Fire, smoke and water caused an estimated $100,000 in damage; one firefighter was treated for a shoulder injury.

The man who loved turkey

Noternie reports that by Sunday, the turkey was running low, so his wife went out and bought a 15-pound turkey so they could continue to feast on turkey and stuffing. As of this afternoon, he's downed 14 turkey sandwiches, 2 turkey dinners and a turkey pie. Guess what's for dinner tonight?

Police: South Boston bystanders chase down, capture alleged mugger

Boston Police report that when a woman failed in a struggle over her purse with a knife-wielding assailant and his boy accomplice on E. 2nd Street near L Street last night, two nearby residents gave chase.

Police: Convicted bank robber can't shake the habit

A man who only recently got out of prison for robbing banks was charged with holding up a Dorchester credit union last week after police matched fingerprints found on the demand note with his, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office says.
