Stove fire sends chill down spines of Kenmore UBurger fans

The Kenmore Square burger joint is OK this morning, but a kitchen in an apartment above it is a bit of a mess: A stove fire brought firefighters racing to the scene last night, although sprinklers had mostly doused the flames by the time they got there, the Daily Free Press reports.

Fire at Roslindale Square restaurant goes to one alarm

The Boston Fire Department tweets a one-alarm fire broke out shortly before 11 p.m. in the rear of Delfino's, at 754 South St.

The department says the stove fire only did about $10,000 in damage, but filled the restaurant with smoke. One firefighter was sent to the hospital for evaluation of a possible injury.

Delfino's was one of the first restaurants to move into Roslindale Square during its revival in the mid-1990s.

Drunk driver with suspended license hits teen, sent home

Hicks was arraigned in Waltham Monday morning on charges of operating under the influence. Prosecutors say Hicks was driving with a suspended license, a suspended registration and had no car insurance.

Hicks was released after her arraignment on the condition that she would not drive"

When the fire alarms go off at Park Street station, it's good to know the CSAs are, um, hey, where are they?

Sylvie Tse reports that when she got off the Green Line at Park Street this afternoon, the fire alarms were blaring and flashing like nobody's business:

... And the best part about all of it was that as the fire alarms went off there were no MBTA officials anywhere to direct riders of where to go or what to do. So I just did what I always do: go down to the Red Line platform and pretended like there was no potential fire and there is no reason the fire alarms are going off. Because, you know, the Red Line would never catch fire. Ha.
