Tom Ashbrook is on notice

I have to agree with the "canned" comment a few posts up. Every time Jane Clayson guest hosts, it's such a relief. She's smart and easy to listen to. Tom interjects needlessly, and too often, with references that sound not like genuine insights, but rather, prepared bits that he had at the ready, in order to say something clever-sounding. He also has a habit of wasting time by unnecessarily expounding on, or explaining, guests' comments and references that should need no explanation.

I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and the best explanation I can come up with is that his delivery is so self-conscious and intentional, that even if his comments are natural and insightful, they just come out sounding fake. Sorry...
