When I was a little kid me and my buddies found a body wrapped in a blanket in J.P. I've also witnessed 2 suicides, both jumpers.
Does seeing the 2 suicides still haunt you?

I was very calm during the whole situation, I stayed with the body (about 5 feet away) until the police arrived, I just can't seem to get the image out of my head. I think about it all the time. Not to the point where I can't function, but a little too much. I'm just hoping that the vacation I'm taking this week, will help fill my head with happy thoughts rather then that image that will be burned in my mind forever.

It wasn't foul play. It's very unfortunate that this man took his own life. He was alone. I know for a fact, because I found the body and was about 50 yards away from him when he shot himself. I can't even imagine why anyone would indicate that this was foul play. What was odd was that there were 2 shots fired.
They only details I heard from an officer on Sunday was that he was a young man and from Texas.

..I also heard it was a suicide, from someone who claimed to be a witness. There were dozens of families at the other end of the beach for ice skating lessons – what a traumatic thing to see and/or have to explain to children.

As the father of this suicide victim, I want to say what a cruel thing it
Was to try to sensationalize my sons death, with the headline Foul play
Supected. When the truth is, there was never anything said from the
Witnesses present or the police to that effect. All that headline accomplished
Was to cause our family a few days of extra anxiety and suffering.
Maybe next time you will pause to check the facts before you post such
Hurtful things.
