Digitizing Boston TV footage
By adamg on Mon, 03/14/2011 - 2:12pm
Boston Local TV could be an interesting project, focusing on local footage, mainly from the 1960s and 1970s:
We'll be creating an online catalog of stories from Boston Public Library's WHDH film collection (1960- mid-1970s), Cambridge Community Television (1988 to 1999), Northeast Historic Film’s WCVB film collection (1970-1979), and WGBH-produced The Reporters (1970-1973), Evening Compass (1973-1975) and the Ten O’Clock News

You mean I'll be able to
You mean I'll be able to watch The Reporters again? Order a couple of pizzas - I'm stayin' in tonight!
SWEET!!
We are in for a fashion treat to say the least!! Lapels wide enough to provide lift in a windstorm! Helmets of glorious hair! And the studio furniture and sets!!! Earth tones! Cutting edge graphics (for 1972)! And oh, the ties!
Really looking forward to this.
They should expand it to non-news local TV too
For instance, WCVB's Park Street Under.
Captain Bob!
I would blow a gasket if I could see some of the local kid's programming that hasn't been around for ages.

The Capt and Rex
Those were the days...
Forget all that...
where's the "Ask The Manager" archives? My brother always used to say that the fact that every week someone would ask when the Three Stooges would not be on TV38 anymore proved there was order in the universe.
