Boston and Quincy police today found a body between Spectacle Island and Castle Island and identified it as that of a 41-year-old Wilmington man who plunged off the third story of the Provincetown II during a country-music harbor cruise late Saturday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Harbor patrols found his body using sonar around 1:15 p.m., the DA's office says, adding his body was identified once brought ashore.
An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death, according to the DA's office, which is not releasing the man's name because his death does not appear to have been suspicious.

Didn't someone say this guy swam to shore and was hiding because he was embarrassed?
The brother said something like that

Not that he was embarrassed - clearly not if he listens to country music, but that he might be resting or waiting to be spotted on some island. It was hopeful thinking.
Only if he survived the jump

The Navy has a setup in New London to train people to jump from large ships (I seem to remember 75ft? It was high enough to make me want to puke/happy that I had to go first ...) so sailors don't freak out if they really have to do it.
That three-deck drop is survivable if you do it right - apparently not for him, however. RIP.
Had he survived it, he was in moderately warm water and a short distance from shore.
