He's here to conduct a "military reenlistment ceremony."

Dick Cheney--five draft deferments during the Vietnam War.
He'll send your kids to die in Iraq. Just don't
ask him to join them.

Cheney is the chief executive of the fourth co-equal branch of government, the barnacle branch.

I hope he hears a steady stream of boos from the time he lands to the time he scampers away. Thousands of young Americans, and an order of magnitude more Iraqis, are prematurely dead because of him.

It's too bad he'll probably expire before he can answer for his crimes in The Hague.

Why waste your time?

Because the strong airing of public sentiment, in a democratic republic, is never a waste of time. It drives public policy.

Of course, if you truly believe that change is impossible, yes, a waste.

I can think of nothing more patriotic than exercising one's right to peaceable assembly on the Fourth of July.

He's a scumbag who has no business coming here.

Don't get me wrong. The guy's a war monger, does his work in the shadows, and advocated for torture, but if you think your PROTEST will drive policy change you haven't been paying attention. Secondly, July 4th is two days away, you'll lklely find an more interesting way to spend you time. In other words, no follow through.

If anyone seriously wants to go ou there and bring some homemade signs, I'm interested. Send me an email at [email protected] .

He's the architect of the propaganda push to the Iraq War, the primary advocate of torturing prisoners, and generally a secretive scumbag who thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants. Who the heck invited him, anyway? He's got some nerve coming to Boston on the 4th- not to mention the fact that, as one of the most hated people in the world, he helps set up a particularly appealing target for a McCain-boosting, mass-casulty terror attack. He might even be trying to provoke one- I wouldn't put it past him. But I'll be out there to tell him to get his dirty feet off our Constitution.

I'd wager they will bring him in by watercade, like they have done with other dignitaries.

But I may be wrong. I think we will need some sort of signal ... any body want to climb the Old North Church?

One if by land, two if by sea.

I think Dick Cheney is a war criminal and should be tossed into the Charles River like a stale crate of East India Tea. I think it's a complete disgrace to the history of Boston that people don't care enough to actually consider protesting his appearance. The Iraq War isn't a joke, and our apathy is pathetic.

I haven't heard about organizing a protest from moveon.org or anybody else but there's always another approach.

Do you want to try to find out the details about the re-enlistment ceremony, when he's scheduled to arrive and leave and from which airport; Logan? Hanscom? You can be sure the airspace will be secured in advance.

I'll bet he's here to enjoy our July 4 celebrations and wrapped it around the re-enlistment ceremony so he could do so on taxpayer dollars.

So here's a way to get your message accross even if you're not one of 300,000 people doing it

Or does everyone hate him in Wyoming now, too? What about Alabama? Utah? Texas? Is there anyplace left that still likes these guys? (Yes, I know the answer to that, and yes, it saddens me.)

You mean he won't be able to literally defecate on the Constitution? He'll be angry about that.

Worth a trip to Boston for Dick Cheney to learn he can't piss on the Constitution?

the joke, that Cheney cant piss on the Constitution, the joke that nobody got and you had to explain, it was worth it.

It was just kinda begging to be made.

Well done!

For a potty joke, that was very subtle indeed!

He won't be able to wipe his ass on the Constitution, either.

Pity us poor souls who work in the Navy Yard. Something tells me that I'll have to figure out a novel way to get home tomorrow as they lock that mess down six ways from Sunday - and attack tourists taking pictures on the Charles River Dam.
