Man killed by commuter-rail train in Quincy; both commuter rail and Red Line halted

Transit Police report a man on the Old Colony tracks just south of Wollaston station was stuck and killed by a train around 8:30 p.m.

The T shut service on both those tracks and the nearby Red Line to let firefighters extract his remains and Transit Police to investigate the incident.

Red Line service between North Quincy and Braintree was replaced with shuttle buses.

Foul play is not suspected, officers say.

So that is what it was..

Waited for over a 1/2 hour at Haymarket for a 111 bus. Inspector said they took several buses off that route to assist with this. Of course, they take them off an already busy route, that was already delayed because of the one lane on the Tobin Bridge. There were about 300 people waiting when a bus finally came.

ugh.

Gee, I'm sorry you were delayed. I was on the red line and was delayed 90 minutes. In all honesty, we had it great compared to the person killed. Try not to be so selfish.
