The flocks here on the North Shore will rest in the trees, although it seems to be a destination for the evening. They don't seem to use the trees even when they're startled, but not many domestic animals seem to phase them.

Farm turkeys tend to be a lot fatter and have trouble flying. And it's not like turkeys are great at flying to begin with, just good enough to get on the roof of a house.
Do not understimate them!
