This is a clear violation of the rabbinical Hilchos Xmas (literally, "laws of Xmas"), the first of which states:

"Preparations for Xmas must not begin[1] before[2] Thanksgiving[3]. This applies to preparations which affect the holiday mood[4], but not those which are done in private[5]."

I agree, it's too early for this. Not only is this on before Thanksgiving, but Veteran's Day, too. Especially in light of Iraq and Afghanistan. I think it's a (sad) statement on what is considered as important. This could have waited until after Thanksgiving. There's two less stations I'll be listening to for the next MONTH AND A HALF! Enough already.

Christmas music, or IKEA last night playing nothing but new wave tunes from the early 80s. While they played a good variety of semi-obscure stuff, it was like a high school dance flashback by the time I got into the decorative lighting impulse buying section near the registers.

At least the nostalgia trip won't likely be repeated endlessly for the next eight weeks.
