6) There was like this really cool conference where they came up with a new word for one of the oldest jobs in the
world, it's called being an entrepreneur. I think it's French or something, I asked my friend Martin but he doesn't speak fluently. Funny because Martin is a French name so you think he would understand. I'm not defending her or saying she is the most qualified person for her job at the Globe, but people seem to be very invested in her. It doesn't seem healthy.

Newspapers are dying because
Newspapers are dying because they are selling a garbage product. Independent reporters online now have the tools to independently publish and the necessity of pooling within, what amounted to a print distribution companies are no longer there.
We are living in a golden age of journalism. It's just that it is now self published and promoted. The dying legacy media can't accept this and thus runs with DOOOOM! headlines lamenting "the death of journalism" when journalism has really transformed back into self published journals online instead of at the mercy of print syndicates.

Which is why the Globe references articles from Adam much more than Adam references articles from the Globe.
In the end, you get what you pay for, which is why one of the best websites of “independent reporting” has a single reporter.

Come on Waquoit, you're painting me with a broad brush here. Just poking a little fun at the Globe. I read both papers, and never said the Globe doesn't matter.
Beth Teitell, who wrote the fanny pack article, was one of my favorite columnists when she wrote for the Herald. Very funny and thoughtful. I think the Globe is wasting her talents assigning her to cover some of the topics she writes about, like how to look younger.
