Police: Pals tried to block cops from catching teen with gun on Annunication Road

Boston Police report officers investigating a noise complaint at 70 Annunciation Rd. shortly after midnight found a bunch of guys "being boisterous and loud while drinking in public" - one of whom promptly ran inside the apartment building there when he saw the cops:

As officers tried to give chase, several individuals attempted to block and impede the officers’ efforts to further engage the suspect. When officers resumed their foot pursuit, they observed the suspect exit the building. Upon catching up to him, officers promptly noted that, in addition to trespassing, he appeared nervous and extremely jumpy. A pat frisk of the suspect for weapons proved unsuccessful. However, believing the suspect had likely discarded a weapon when he ran away from the officers, a search of the immediate area was conducted. In short time, officers observed and recovered a loaded silver and black firearm found on the ground near where the suspect had exited the building.

Adrian Fernandes, 18, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm on a public way and trespassing, police say.
