Best to put that stuff in neighborhoods better suited for it, like places where traffic and parking aren't issues, outraged South Enders, including one woman whose last name you'd think would indicate more sympathy for the idea, tell Compassionate Organics, the Boston Sun reports (yes, it's the company that won city approval for a medical dispensary on Newbury Street).

Undesirables = Black people

Racist bigots are undesirables
Nothing could be worse than a racist bigot, white supremacist or Nazi. We beat them in the Civil War, we beat them in World War II and will win the fight again!
Calm down
Those 'racist Nazis' hate 'lower class' whites, too. Class is a much bigger issue than race. Unfortunately, it's something American 'progressives' and conservatives alike hate discussing. Since people of upper middle class backgrounds doninate both 'progressive' and conservative leadership, it's not surprising they prefer to deflect attention away from their priviledge.
Mixed signals...
I am getting mixed signals..and I thought it was harmless when everyone voted for it...
And btw...who voted for this....because apparently no body wants it in their neighborhood...because of "parking"...obviously....
Everyone needs to get their story straight on this issue...
If you voted for this and they want to put one in your neighborhood...zip it...you have no beef...
If you didn't vote for it, I feel for you...
And please....this isn't about traffic and parking...lets be honest...
But it is!
Marijuana use leads to a horrible flood of parking. Everybody knows that. Stoners love to park, all over the place.
...
And giggle!
I for one don’t care at all
I for one don’t care at all what the yuppie gentrifier class wants/doesn’t want.
More Reefer Madness
How is opening a cannabis dispensary any different than the Hollywood liquor store already on Tremont Street? The difference is that cannabis according to the Centers for Disease Control is much safer than alcoholic beverages which are directly responsible for over a hundred and five thousand American deaths each and every year.
1st
Mostly because it would be one of the first ones around. The lines seen at the first few stores is scaring everyone off. Once established, I think they will be 'no worse' than a liquor store. But a very small store footprint and no available parking is scaring most residents (Plus your general NIMBYs....)
Well, I never!
I mean really, it's one thing to put one on Hyde Park Ave., or some such lower class spot; quite another putting one near my million dollar condo!
the cities and state should pro-actively promote parity.
black and brown persons have been affected most by illegal marijuana; now thats its legal, so far mainly caucasion persons are benefiting and profiting.
