There are 45+ years of evidence that Trump is a racist. But republicans are not interested in evidence or facts. Many of them don't even believe in evolution! This is the level of stupidity that pervades the republican party. This is why they voted for a conman who has been caught lying literally thousands of times. A vote for Trump is a vote for lies and racism.

I don't know him very well, but his line that he cannot be a racist because he has black nieces and nephews was so absurdly obtuse its truly amazing. Especially coming right after Pressley had just made the point that having a black employee or friend does not make you immune to being a racist made it even more incredible to hear.

that fine upstanding Democrat LBJ?

You've managed to raise whataboutism, already the saddest argument tactic, to new heights of sadness by bringing up LBJ, a champion of the Civil Rights Movement who hasn't been President in more than 50 years. Nice work!

A racist himself. Read a little it will do you some good.

The longer I live the more appalled I've been, with the exception of Carter, of the behavior of those who hold our highest office.

Despite 100 years of obstructionism by both parties.

Did anyone notice that with the exchange with Tlaib ? He practically had tears in his eyes- "I am not a racist!" Haha, ok.

Who cares? Be a man. Tlaib calls people racist for a living. Her point was that Meadows used a black woman as "a prop." Well didn't he? Politics is all about grandstanding and blacks are used as props by everyone, like all the time......along with veterans and handicapped people, etc. It wasn't that big of a deal.

Political theatre is for proles, just like sports. You root for your team no matter what and then post arguments on the internet with other losers.

i can't really get on board with the "everyone does it" thing but it was pretty funny watching an ostensibly grown man get choked up over that little disagreement.

Can "diaspora" refer to a country? I thought it refers to a demographic.

to which Republicans who support Trump have sunk is absolutely, irrevocably unrecoverable. Truly the lowest form of shameful filth in human form. And that's generous.

A stupid question will usually get you a stupid answer.

...as stupid does.

(like, for example, casting the side-eye at someone calling out a racist person for being racist)

Of course the media is going to fixate on anything to do with identity politics to get ratings and clicks.

What was actually of significance during Pressley's interrogation was her questioning Cohen on Trump's improper used of his charitable foundation.

Politically incorrectness might offend snowflake sensibilities. Trump's misusing a charity is a legal issue.

Huh? Pressley was the one focusing on identity politics. Pigeonholing people into "racists" and "non-racists" categories doesn't help.
