Four now in race to replace Zakim on Boston City Council

The Boston Guardian reports the latest to get in the run to represent the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Bay Village, Fenway and part of Mission Hill is Kenzie Bok of Beacon Hill.

Zakim recently announced he would not seek re-election to the seat he's held since 2013.

If you're gonna run on a platform of more affordable housing, tell me how you're going to reform zoning laws and say No to NIMBY constituents, otherwise it's all talk.

(A) Couldn't agree more

(B) Mike Nichols should absolutely get in this race. What an unimpressive four candidates.

Bok will enter an already crowded field ahead of the 2019 election, joining Fenway community activist Kristen Mobilia, whom Zakim defeated handily in 2017, as well as first-time candidates Hélène Vincent and Landon Lemoine. With more than three candidates vying for the seat, a primary will be held in September ahead of November’s general election.
