Woman attacked, robbed in the Southwest Corridor Park in the South End

Boston Police report they are looking for a man they say smashed a woman in the back of the head in the Southwest Corridor Park near West Canton Street around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, then took her purse and ran away.

Police say the woman is unsure if the man hit her with his fist or with a hard object. The suspect is described as black, between 5'7" and 5'9" and bald.

Her credit cards were used after the robbery on Mission Hill and in the Fenway.

Owned by the MBTA but not patrolled by the Transit Police. The State Police won't patrol the corridor unless they are on overtime. So don't blame the Boston Police when crime rises on the corridor.
