Man cased Allston liquor store several days before robbing it at gunpoint, police say

Marty's suspect

Boston Police have released photos of a man they say robbed Marty's, 103 North Beacon St., of an estimated $10,000 on May 28.

Police say the guy entered just after the store opened at 10 a.m. and used a snub-nosed revolver to force the sole employee on duty to open a secured area in the back of the store and remove the money.

This was several days after the guy, wearing the same "faded denim jeans and black sneakers with red soles," took time to case the store, police say.

The suspect arrived and fled on a blue men's mountain bike, police say, adding the employee was not injured.

If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-343-4256.

This poor store cannot catch a break. A few months ago a lady drove through their front door at 2:00 in the morning. Then they lost another pane of glass from the front door that got replaced. And now this. No wonder Lantana can't get their apartments filled.
