The 6ft distance recommended isn't for shits and giggles, COVID-19 is a highly transmissible disease. Hand-to-hand transactions in a COVID world is just idiotic. Even if - and this is such a long shot - patrons and servers maintain 6ft distance with ALL cash transactions, hands would need to be washed or gloves would need to be changed (with a hand wash) after every single cash transaction.

What are the odds The Erie is actually doing this?

I love independent bars and restaurants and I want them all to survive, but for the love of Jove, minimize cash transactions and all transactions that require close proximity.

The Eire Pub has always been cash only and there is no ATM.
Also, they've been doing takeout-only for awhile.

And what better place than the Eire pub serving hot dogs for $2?

Seems like it's surging again. Two dollars sounds kinda overvalued to me though.

Adams "Village" stills irks me all these years later. Likewise Roslindale "Village."

Of all the goddamnably stupid things to be irked by right now. Congratulations! You get your townie wings now bc ‘village’ is twee and not tough enough for real OFD types like yourself. Actually, my understanding is that Roslindale Village was called that in the 20s. I call Adams Village SODO myself or SOMO if I am feeling saucy.

The Eire and other pubs and bars in the city are trying to do their best to survive and support their workers. You sound like you are auditioning for the show Bar Rescue.
