To see if the NCAA follows suit. Hope they do.

No it won't, there's nothing interesting anymore.

Even the d3 championships are still on. The NCAA has reduced the amount of games teams need to play to qualify for championships as well.

But this could easily change if outbreaks happen during the fall season. I'm still confused as to how many fans the NFL would allow to games, as I assume large football programs in the NCAA would do the same (the ones that depend on money).

Two reasons, money and scheduling. The Ivy League basically only plays itself, and does not rely on sports as a major source of revenue.

Power 5 conferences rely on football to bring in revenue and increase "visibility" so they will most likely play with reduced capacity in the stadiums. Large donors will get first dibs. Also, money from championship and bowl games is dependent on playing teams from other Power 5 teams so one conference not playing affects others.

You can't have one without the others.

They are probably going to let schools decide what they want to do, but in the end the championships are in place and scheduled.

(Ivy League football teams at least don’t go to the playoffs so it doesn’t matter there)

Big 10 announced yesterday they will only play football games within the conference. The other Power 5 conferences (Pac12, Big12, SEC, ACC) are expected to follow suit.

Locally, BC would lose games against Kansas, Purdue, Ohio U and Holy Cross. They currently have 8 conference games on the schedule.

The ACC and SEC could make exceptions for their rivalries, like FSU-Florida, Clemson-South Carolina, Georgia-Georgia Tech and Louisville-Kentucky

Basketball is the actual moneymaking sport for the Ivies- teams at top of league are competitive and get decent payouts in the NCAA Tournament and to play at the likes of the North Carolinas, Indianas and Marylands of the sport

It’s called “The Game.” Me thinks you might not have attended either institution.

That is all.

... since the only event with a margin of safety is the single scull.

There's also no way that the normal gathering facility (a school) for parcelling out volunteer assignments will be available.

Plus, of course, who the fuck wants to police the crowd to make everyone wear their mask over their nose, instead of as a chin guard.
