Citizen complaint of the day: Bongo drums at 3 a.m. in Roslindale

A sleep-deprived citizen filed a 311 complaint at 3:33 a.m. about the situation in the section of the Arboretum behind Washington Street in Roslindale near Forest Hills:

Insane bongo/DJ/music can be heard throughout the forest hills neighborhood right now at 3am. This is the second time it has woken me up this spring. I believe it's the "gate parties" that happened last summer too. Extremely disruptive at a ludicrous time of night/early morning. Please help!

and not Congas, which project much better. Of course Timbales would cut into the night air even more effectively. There's nothing like a great rim shot at the end of a sextuplet on the upbeat.

Last summer the BONGO beats went on from 11pm to 4am for weeks. I called Boston Police, C-11, the "Party line" and got no help at all. C-11 says "we are busy. we will send the next car". This BS went on for weeks and I made 20 calls. Finally, C-11 said they needed the exact address of where the music was coming from. I explained, I didn't know but it seems to be coming from a mile or more away. No help. I finally demanded that a police car meet me on the street so we could find the source of the music together. WOW. I should work for the police.

I've heard this music recently in South Boston. It was heard many times last summer;'difficult to determine where it's coming from.
