Three arrested after gunfire in South Street development in Jamaica Plain

Boston Police report arresting two men and a teenager for a burst of gunfire on Metcalf Court in the South Street development around 5 p.m. on Friday.

The three fled in a car towards Roslindale, but didn't get far in rush-hour traffic: Police say officers stopped the car at Ukraine Way, just past the Forest Hills T stop. One of the three then tried to run away, but was captured by officers, police say, adding they retrieved two guns from the car.

Arrested: Anton Clark, 19, of Boston, Keimody Crockett, 27, of Malden and a 15-year-old from Jamaica Plain, not named because of his age.

Clark and Crockett were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded, large-capacity firearm in public, possession of a large-capacity firearm. Clark, the one who allegedly tried to run, was also charged with resisting arrest, police say.

The teen was charged with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded, large-capacity firearm in public, possession of a large-capacity firearm.

There were no injuries on Metcalf Court, police say.

More young kids with guns. Thankfully the police were there. If you’ve ever been shot at, there is no better sight than the police.

I hope our elected officials are paying attention and trying harder to limit this violence.
