Older thug sought for string of armed robberies in Grove Hall

Boston Police report they are looking for a guy in his 40s for "numerous" armed and unarmed robberies on Blue Hill and Humboldt avenues over the past month.

He's described as black, 40-45, with a beard and a short hair cut, wearing a black hoodie and carrying a firearm, which he shows to victims. He may be making his getaways on a red scooter.

That's a pretty specific age there.

In any case, I didn't say old, but "older," because when you think of gun-wielding guys doing stick ups, you (well, OK, I) think of somebody in their early 20s.

I know a lot of men who fit that description. Probably dozens. I think we might need a little more info in order to find the dude. Not sure it would be helpful to call the police and tell them about every guy I know who fits that vague description. Though the scooter part is helpful if he indeed rides a scooter; hey Kaz, what color's your scooter anyway?

(OK, yes, I get that their may well be someone who's been wondering what exactly Uncle Bill has been up to with coming home with unexplained money, and they'll see this and put two and two together. But still.)
