Police: Dorchester mom finds shotgun in son's bedroom; turns him in

Boston Police report the arrest of a Callender Street teen on Saturday thanks to a tip from his mother:

On arrival, officers spoke to an individual (a parent) who stated that she found a firearm (sawed-off shot gun) in a bedroom occupied by her children. The parent further stated that she believed the firearm belonged to her oldest son. According to the parent, she found the gun wrapped in a bag underneath a bed. Upon finding it, the parent called police.

Christian Delgado, 19, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. Police say the weapon was unloaded.
