Police: Springfield crack dealer picks up where he left off in Boston, gets arrested

A Springfield man sentenced to ten years in prison in 2005 for dealing cocaine out of his apartment was arrested Thursday on charges of dealing cocaine in Boston, Boston Police report.

Police say they'd had their eye on Craig Bogle, 53, since December, when they heard he was in Boston and dealing drugs.

Boston police officers launched an extensive investigation that, on Thursday, ultimately led officers to stop Bogle for Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspended/Revoked.

Police say a search of his car and an apartment at 44 Arbutus Rd. yielded more than 32 grams of cocaine, about 160 prescription pills, "various drug paraphernalia and materials consistent with drug distribution" and $11,500 in cash.

Bogle was charged with trafficking cocaine and trafficking cocaine as a second and subsequent offense. Three alleged accomplices - Jerome Young, 41, of Mattapan, William Griffin, 57, of Weymouth, and Tamara Johnson-Lewis, 43, of Roxbury - were charged with possession of class B, C and E drugs with intent to distribute, police say.

Bogle and six people allegedly working for him were arrested in Springfield in 2003 on charges they were running a crack distribution ring. Bogle was convicted in 2005.

Innocent, etc.
