As cops are in a Dorchester apartment seizing a gun and drugs, they hear a knock at the door
Cops must love stuff like this: Boston Police report that as officers were using a search warrant to seize a gun, marijuana and cocaine at 29 Cunningham St., Tuesday afternoon:
22-year-old Nadeo Mason of Dorchester knocked on the door of the residence and was subsequently found in possession of a Smith & Wesson .357 Revolver and six rounds of ammunition. He was also found to have seven arrest warrants. Officers placed Mason under arrest and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and the seven outstanding warrants.
The apartment's occupant, Carnell Solomon, 23, was not at home at the time - since officers had earlier arrested him for driving with a suspended license.
Innocent, etc.

Knock Knock
Who's There...
It's me, Dave, man. Open up,
It's me, Dave, man. Open up, I got the stuff.
"What's it like being a rocket scientist?"
Who's writing this stuff,
Who's writing this stuff, George V. Higgins?
"He was also found to have
"He was also found to have SEVEN ARREST WARRANTS". Six warrants didn't scream "FLIGHT RISK!" loud enough, let's hope this is enough to keep him locked up for more than a few hours.
Really?
I wonder what suspicion the police had to search the man that knocked at the door. Seems to me the logical thing would have been for the police to say they were conducting an arrest and to go away.
I'm assuming they just grabbed and searched him? He obviously didn't tell the police he had a gun and warrants.
Gun and warrants or not, that is not legal for police to do but I can imagine just how it went down.
