What a classless, crass
What a classless, crass headline. I know you think you're amazing, what with the same ten people always telling you are, but please get a life.
Would 'Teen slashed in East Boston' work better?
Because it wound up sounding like he wasn't "stabbed repeatedly" as I originally wrote - all of his wounds were "superficial," so saying he was "stabbed repeatedly" made it sound like he was more grievously injured than he was.

"Would 'Teen slashed in East Boston' work better?"
Yes, it would.
Nothing crass about it.
He received a superficial slice wound, and you described it correctly. People on this site have just become overly sensitive in recent years.
I agree. I didn't think twice
I agree. I didn't think twice about the headline. And, now that I have thought twice, I don't think it's offensive. What's offensive, is the fact that the teen was violently attacked.
Slice, stab, cut, etc.
It's a little odd verb choice but given that your first headline was stabbed and as the info came out that it wasn't life threatening, as other recent Eastie stabbings were, I guess finding another verb is fine. Or you could say just say "attacked/injured by knife." Slice makes it sound like he was a side of capicola. Although tasteless and crass is a little beyond what I would call this, and if people are so offended they can get their news somewhere else. This isn't a public service.
Teen sliced
Since EB has seen two teens from El Salvador stabbed this year, I was wondering if there was any more details?

Ask your realtor about it.
According to Channel 7
The headline should read Teen sliced on the'T'. They are reporting that Boston Police are investigating a stabbing at Orient Heights station
That was the initial report
Because the kid showed up bleeding on Bennington Street, in front of the station. But then the police found the actual crime scene was a couple blocks away.
