Man shot in Brighton; suspect pulled from under blanket in back seat of car in Framingham

Boston Police report a man, 28, was shot at 45 Faneuil St. around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that the suspect was a 33-year-old male named Clayton Watts from Brighton. This morning, Sunday, December 17, 2017, officers gleaned information about the suspect that led them to Framingham, MA. With the assistance of the Framingham Police Department, a vehicle was stopped, and officers found Watts hiding in the backseat under a blanket. A search of the vehicle allowed officers to recover the loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic firearm allegedly used in the crime.

Police say Watts was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (Firearm) and assault and battery with intent to murder as well as several firearms offenses.

The victim's injuries were not considered life threatening.
