Man robs East Boston mother and child at knifepoint, then whips out his penis, police say

Boston Police report they are investigating an armed robbery early Monday morning on Paris Street in the area of Marion Street that might have turned out even worse if not for a neighbor who heard what was going on.

According to police, a woman and her 10-year-old son were leaving their Paris Street home around 6:30 a.m. when:

[T]he suspect entered the stairwell area of the residence, displayed a folding knife, and ordered the victims to sit on the steps. The suspect then demanded money and took cash from the female victim’s purse. The suspect then indecently exposed himself to the victims while attempting to force the victims back up the stairs. Hearing the commotion, a neighbor came to their rescue, running down the stairs and yelling at the suspect. The suspect fled in a dark colored sedan (possibly a Toyota Corolla or Camry with a partial registration plate of 5FX) that was parked with its hazards on at the corner of Marion and Paris Streets.

The suspect is described as white, with "green eyes and yellow hair" and a muscular build. He was about 6'2" and wore all black clothes and a black mask.

My sincere and fervent thanks to the neighbor who risked themselves and kept that situation going from bad to potentially horrific. You are a hero in my eyes.

Who live-parks their car on the corner with flashers on while he goes in to rob someone? And the penis thing really doesn't make any sense. If you told me a guy walked into a bank and stole money, I understand. This crime doesn't make sense on any level.
