North End market held up at gunpoint, for second time this year

The Venice Convenience Store, 38 Cooper St., was held up shortly after 10:20 p.m. by a man who brandished a handgun at the clerk.

The suspect, described as black, 5'8" to 5'10" and wearing all black clothes, was carrying a purple backback as he fled towards Salem Street.

In February, the store was robbed by a gunman who beat the clerk; a Woburn man was arrested for the robbery and others.
