Man shot on Dorchester Avenue; arrest made
Boston Police report a man was shot in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Centre Street around 12:20 p.m. on Monday.
Police say the victim couldn't tell them who shot him, but as he was being taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, a blood trail led officers from the victim to an apartment building, where they found more blood in the building vestibule:
Further investigation and a protective sweep of the residence led to the recovery of of two firearms, a loaded Ravens Arm P25 firearm with a spent shell casing and a Raven Arms MP25 with an obliterated serial number. Officers subsequently placed Javohn Redrick, 26-years-old of Brockton, under arrest.
Redrick was charged with assault with intent to murder, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
