Man stabbed on Cummins Highway in Mattapan; suspect arrested

Boston Police report a man was punched and then stabbed outside 760 Cummins Highway, at Favre Street, around 12:25 a.m.

The victim stated he was approached by a male known to him who confronted the victim before punching him and chasing him into an alleyway. The victim stated the suspect stabbed him while inside of the alleyway and then chased the victim to the above area where he called police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Herbert Bousseau, 43, of Hyde Park, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, police say.
