Several sought for brutal South End beating

Wanted for an attack early Saturday in the South End

UPDATE: WFXT reports the victim is Chris Smith, 22, and he needed emergency brain surgery.

Boston Police have released photos of four people wanted for questioning in connection with an attack at Harrison Avenue and Fay Street around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday that left the victim with life-threatening injuries.

Officers spoke to witnesses on scene who provided a description of a group of three white male suspects who were alleged to have assaulted the victim, punching him multiple times, before slamming him into the ground.

Officers responding to a 911 report of a man screaming for help found the victim lying on the ground, barely conscious.

Maybe it was because he didn't care. Maybe it was because given where he worked, where he lived, and the fact that he walked home after dark...it didn't pay to look like a college professor and it did pay to look like a homeless man. For all you know, one of these knuckleheads is some corporate hot shot in the financial district or Kendal square.

Are these photos (and video) from the Mexican restaurant that got broken into and coins stolen last week on East Berkeley? It looked like it on TV. Great job by them or whoever spent the extra couple of hundred on high quality cameras. That's the only place around there that I know serves a hot meal at 2:45 AM. I agree, they will be quickly identified. Prayers for the victim.

What is the deal with that hairstyle this guy appears to have, where you shave a perfectly level hairline on the forehead? Prominent widows peaks look weird but not as bad as this. The guy's hair looks like the hair that snaps onto a Lego figure.
