Boston Police report South Boston drug-unit detectives traveled with a search warrant to 15 Valencia Rd. in Hyde Park Monday morning, where they confiscated "six large plastic bags" of marijuana and several Ecstasy pills.

In the 11 a.m., raid, they also arrested Adam Francia, 25, on charges of possession of Class B drugs with intent to distribute and possession of Class D drugs with intent to distribute, police say.

Aprrox. 6lbs an $6k in un-taxed cash. Also you're making the assumption this drug dealer only sells pot because thats what they found on this particular day.

The 90's called, they want their criminal back.

these days, isn't pot enforcement just on behalf of "big pot" ?

(successful policing is still appreciated, though)

Until the legal market gets built out, there needs to be some enforcement to keep the illegal market under control. I agree that busting people for selling a legal substance is a generally a waste and fairly hypocritical. I'm convinced that once (most) every town has a pot store, the appeal and profit of the illegal market will largely fade away.

Legalized cannabis does not mean unlicensed dealers get a pass. Pot is regulated now.
If you don't support legalized vendors then you don't support marijuana legalization.

The government legalized marijuana because they wanted in on the cash flow. They dont give a damn who sells it, as long as they get their cut. Will they legalize heroin next?

Voters did. If it were up to Charlie Baker and Marty Walsh, it would still be illegal. You might want to ask why there is still not a single recreational pot shop in New Englands's largest city.
