Everett man charged with East Boston store holdups going back to January

Boston Police report arresting an Everett man yesterday on charges he's held up at least four East Boston convenience and drug stores at gunpoint, most recently Lanzilli Groceria on Bennington Street last Tuesday.

Diego Dasilva, 31, was removed from his car and arrested on Harvard Street in Everett yesterday afternoon by Boston, Everett and Chelsea officers and ATF agents, police say, adding the officers and agents recovered a black gun under the driver's seat.

In addition to the Lanzilli hold up, Dasilva is also being charged for holding up:

CVS in Liberty Plaza, Central Square, 8:08 p.m., April 14. Dasilva allegedly handed a clerk a note demanding money from the register and displayed a gun in his waistband.

Walgreens, 1 Central Sqaure, 7:07 p.m., March 10. Man gave worker a note demanding money from the cash register and showed a firearm.

Mobil station, 396 Chelsea St., 7:25 p.m., Jan. 13. Clerk ordered to hand over cash in register to suspect.
