That's the way the cookie crumbles: Fired worker's rage spreads from Comm Ave. cookie place to Dorchester house; shots fired, tires flattened, arrest made

Live Boston reports a beef at Insomnia Cookies, 708 Commonwealth Ave., at BU Central, ended with shots fired into a Civic and a man arrested on Neponset Avenue in Dorchester.

Live Boston reports police responded to the late-night cookie outlet around 1 a.m. after a former worker who had gotten fired led three of her friends on a revenge run that involved spraying a worker with whom she'd had words with pepper spray. The former worker, 18, was issued a summons on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

But then the ad hoc gang followed the worker to her boyfriend's home on Neponset Avenue where, around 2:35 a.m, police report, they tried to follow her inside, but failed, because her boyfriend got out a Glock and opened fire, missing them, but hitting their car.

Sebastian Monteiro Fernandes, 18, was arrested on various charges, including firing a gun he had no license for within 500 feet of a dwelling, as well as assault by means of a dangerous weapon, police say. They add that as he was being booked, officers found a spent shell in his right shoe.

Live Boston adds police did not find the car at the scene of the shooting, because after the shots, the angry people followed the woman to her home on Regent Street in Roxbury, only to be scared off by passing BPD cruisers. Then, and now with four flat fires, they called 911 to report their car had been shot up.
