Pompei street seems like such a sad street. Surrounded by the danger of desperate addicts with rap sheets the size of a Sears Catalog from the 70s and sad old warehouses. God help anyone who lives on that street.

"While officers were on scene, they were notified via BPD Operations that the 911 caller was inside of the basement and would be able to let the officers into the residence."

The man who was in the basement is loved by many in the South End. He's a friend to my family. I'm glad he got away. I fear for his landlord who was badly beaten. These are our neighbors.
