Man shot on Delano Street in Dorchester; suspect arrested

Boston Police report a man was shot outside 7 Delano St., off Levant Street, around 11:30 a.m.

The victim's injuries were not life threatening, police say.

Police report arresting Boma Howell, also known as Boima Collins, 42, of Roxbury, around 4:40 p.m. and about a mile away on Downer Avenue.

Howell was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a building, police say.
