Teen caught redhanded after breaking into Mattapan Boys and Girls Club and making off with numerous electronic items, including monitors, police say

Boston Police report a 17-year-old didn't get far after he used a piece of concrete to smash his way into the Boys and Girls Club on Hazleton Street in Mattapan and made off with "several computer monitors, hard drives, headphones and a laptop" around 12:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say officers responding to a report of a burglary in progress spotted the kid "throwing a broken piece of concrete at a rear window of the club, ultimately breaking the window" and using the new hole to get into the building.

When they got close enough, they grabbed him on Walk Hill Street, right behind the clubhouse, where they arrested him on a charge of being delinquent for breaking and entering - and recovered all the items they say he tried to leave with.

One teenager? If one teenager is doing shit like this by himself then the reason why makes me nothing but real, real, depressed. As an Aunt of 4 teens I wish I could just sit and listen to him and cook him a homemade meal.

Or are kids just getting more braizen?

I mean how low do you have to go to steal from a Boys & Girls club?

Its a center for teens to turn their life around..

People don't give a sh*t about anyone except themselves and how they can profit from it these days.

I weep for the future.

It’s getting better all the time. I do think the Beatles were correct in that. However, that doesn’t mean we still can’t seek for more or that we should relax measures that keep people and property safe.

Kids will become as brazen as they are allowed to be. Combine this with teaching people to hate the world they live in and it is a bad combination.
