Boston Police report arresting two teens, one from East Boston, one from Jamaica Plain, after nabbing them for puttering down the wrong side of Helen Street shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say the scooter driver, a 16-year-old from East Boston, was drunk, while his passenger was carrying a gun loaded with nine bullets in his fanny pack.

Police say the two turned from the wrong side of Helen onto Bernard Street and promptly drove into the cruiser of a B-3 officer on patrol.

The driver was charged with being delinquent for OUI. The passenger was charged with being delinquent for a variety of gun-related reasons.

Wow. What are the chances that they would even SEE a Boston cop on patrol these days? And to randomly crash into one would seem to be like getting struck by lightning TWICE. Unreal.
