Man who stabbed a woman on Deckard Street in Roxbury also tried attacking another woman nearby a few days later, DA charges

Ranlee Flores, 34, of Roxbury, had bail set at $30,000 yesterday on charges he stabbed a woman as she unloaded her groceries on Deckard Street in Roxbury on Dec. 8, but he won't be going anywhere even if he makes bail because the judge revoked his bail for several earlier cases, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

In addition to the Dec. 8 attack, Flores was also charged with trying to attack another woman a couple blocks away on Harrishof Street, early on Dec. 13, the DA's office says:

Early in the morning on Tuesday, December 13, officers responded to a radio call for a person screaming on Harrishof Street in Roxbury. The victim, a 42-year-old woman, told police a man had chased her and lunged at her as she walked along Harrishof Street toward Humboldt Street.

Detectives accessed video surveillance from both incident scenes and determined that the same person was responsible for both attacks.

Flores was formally charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault, the DA's office reports.

Flores was arrested Thursday at the Southampton Street shelter.

In March, 2021, Flores was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 causing injury for an incident on Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury, according to police records.
