Three teens charged with beating up, pepper spraying fourth at Pru restaurant

Three teens - 13, 14 and 16 - were arrested Monday evening after they allegedly stomped a fourth teen at the California Pizza Kitchen in the Prudential Center, then stole her phone, only to get arrested by officers who spotted one of them tossing the pepper spray under a car on St. Botolph Street, police say.

Police report getting a 911 call around 5:50 p.m. about the attack:

Officers were advised that a victim was kicked and punched several times by a group of three teenage females. The group also sprayed the victim with OC spray, and stole her cell phone. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Not long after, officers who had been alerted the trio had run down Huntington Avenue towards Mass. Ave., spotted them on St. Botolph Street between Cumberland Street and Mass. Ave.:

Officers observed one of the juveniles attempting to discard a purple can of OC spray under a motor vehicle.

All three, too young to have their names released, were charged as delinquent for assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (shod foot). The 13- and 16-year-olds were also charged with armed robbery, while the 14-year-old was charged with receiving stolen goods.
