Three men with a knife robbed a man of his phone on South Huntington Avenue at Craftson Way outside the EnVision hotel turned shelter in Jamaica Plain around 9:05 p.m.
They got into a Toyota sedan and drove away.
The location is where Braulio Castillo, 25, of Jamaica Plain, was shot to death on Oct. 17.

Right next to the fancy new apartment building.
Serenity I believe it’s called. Quite the misnomer for that area.
EnVision Hotels. Their
EnVision Hotels. Their website is a joke and does not expose the ugly truth to those naive enough to register. Lock your shit up and bring ear plugs and self defense artillery.
It's not currently open to the public
Not defending this brand of hotels, but the Envision on South Huntington is currently being used to house homeless individuals from Mass and Cass

Sounds like the JP of the 70s and 80s redux
Do most 21st century gentrifiers realize the level of violence, crime, urban decay that existed from late 60s, into the entire 1970s, into the 80s in Jamaica Plain?
Obviously not, gentrifiers
Obviously not, gentrifiers don't concern themselves with the history of the place they're gentrifying.
On the other hand, you realize that the 80s are a very long time ago now, right?
In the 80's
Only half of JP had crime problems. Most of which was concentrated to Washington Street, Columbus Ave, Heath Street, and Jackson SQ.
Nobody was being mugged up on Moss Hill or West of the monument.
